Tubender
The goal was to rebrand Tubender as a modern, approachable, and innovative entity while designing a user-friendly interface for their web app and website.
Overview
For a client project at Generate, my team collaborated with Tubender, a startup founded by two Northeastern University alumni, to help them prepare for their market debut in the tube-bending industry. Our focus was on creating a new brand identity and designing a web app and website that aligned with Tubender's core values of empowerment, innovation, and accessibility. Tubender aims to make tube-bending more approachable by providing a user-friendly experience for clients of all expertise levels. As the Design Lead, I took on dual roles as a UX/UI Designer and Brand Designer, leading the efforts to develop a cohesive and modern visual identity and intuitive digital interface that differentiates Tubender from its competitors.
Takeaways
Balancing innovation with the client's attachment to their original brand elements presented a unique challenge. However, through this process, I learned the importance of compromise and the value of listening closely to client feedback while advocating for design choices that enhance the user experience. I gained a deeper appreciation for how every element, from color palette to typography, plays a crucial role in shaping a brand's perception and usability. This experience reinforced that thoughtful design decisions are not just aesthetic choices but are pivotal in conveying a brand’s core values and creating an impactful, user-centered experience.
