Rebrand Book

Overview

This project was for my Graphic Design 1 class in the fall of 2023. Over the course of eight weeks, I embarked on a creative journey to design a total of 40 postcards. Each week, my focus was to bring a new "Word of the Day" to life from Merriam Webster's 2023 list. My task was to visually interpret each word using formal design elements to convey its unique meaning. Each postcard will feature a front showcasing my creative take on the word and a back with a standardized template, including spaces for postage, address details, word pronunciation, and definition. After multiple failed ideas for the theme of these postcards, I had a breakthrough and decided to rebrand well-known companies in relation to each word. The front of the postcards featured the company's new logo and color scheme. On the back, I included the word, its definition, a brief explanation of how the chosen company related to the word, and the new color palette.
